At ElectronicsZone, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our website, our browser extensions for Chrome and Mozilla Firefox, and our Android mobile apps.

Our extensions and Android apps — Microphone Selector Calculator, Power Amplifier Calculator, and Solar Battery System Calculator — are standalone tools that run entirely on your device. We believe in minimal data collection and maximum transparency: we do not require an account, we do not build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your data.

This policy is written to meet the requirements of the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, the Mozilla Add-on Policies, and the Google Play User Data and Data Safety policies.

Website

• Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, time zone, and device information collected automatically via cookies and analytics.
• Usage Data: Pages visited, calculators used, time spent on pages, and navigation patterns.
• Contact Data: Email address, if you voluntarily contact us or subscribe to updates.

Browser Extensions (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera & Mozilla Firefox)

• No personal data is collected. All calculations and user inputs are processed locally on your device.
• Our extensions and Firefox add-ons do not transmit any user data to our servers or to third parties.
• Preferences and saved calculations are stored with the browser's own extension storage API (chrome.storage.local / browser.storage.local) — this data never leaves your browser.
• No browsing history, keystrokes, form data, cookies, or personal information is accessed or collected.
• We do not use remote code: all logic ships inside the reviewed extension package, as required by both the Chrome Web Store and Mozilla Add-on Policies.

Android Mobile Apps

• No personal or sensitive data is collected or shared — this matches the Data Safety declaration on our Google Play listing.
• Calculations, inputs, and saved results are stored only in the app's private on-device storage (SharedPreferences / app sandbox).
• We do not request the advertising ID, contacts, location, camera, microphone recordings, SMS, call logs, files, or installed-app lists.
• The apps contain no advertising SDKs and no third-party analytics SDKs.
• If your device has Google Play or Android system backup enabled, Android may include app preferences in your own Google account backup. That backup is controlled by you and Google, not by us.
• Crash reports, where available, are provided in aggregate by Google Play Console and contain no information that identifies you to us.

Data We Never Collect

We do not collect payment details, government identifiers, health data, biometric data, precise location, or the contents of your files — on any platform.

• Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): analytics and non-essential cookies on the website; withdrawable at any time.
• Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): keeping the site secure, preventing abuse, and fixing faults.
• Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)): where we must keep records to comply with law.

Retention: analytics data is retained for a maximum of 14 months and then deleted or anonymised. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to answer you, and no longer than 24 months. On-device data in extensions and Android apps is kept until you clear it or uninstall.

International transfers: our website and analytics providers may process data outside your country. Where that happens for EU/UK users, transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

Our Chrome extensions and Firefox add-ons request only the minimum permissions necessary to function:

• Storage: to save your calculator preferences and history locally on your device.
• Active Tab (only where applicable): used solely to display the extension interface — no page content is read, injected, or modified.

We do not request access to your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, tabs across windows, host permissions for arbitrary sites, or any other sensitive browser data. Firefox users can review the same permission list on our addons.mozilla.org listing before installing.

Our Android apps are built to run fully offline and request an intentionally minimal permission set:

• Internet (optional): only used when you tap an outbound link, such as a product page or a page on our website. No calculation data is ever sent.
• No runtime permissions requested: no location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage, SMS, or phone permissions.

You can uninstall the app at any time, or clear its data from Android Settings → Apps → ElectronicsZone app → Storage → Clear data, which permanently removes everything the app has saved on your device.

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

California residents additionally have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

For our browser extensions, Firefox add-ons, and Android apps, no personal data is collected or stored on our servers — uninstalling removes all locally stored data. To exercise any right, email us and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and uses the following services:

• Google Analytics & Yandex Metrica: website traffic analysis, loaded only after you accept analytics cookies
• Affiliate Links: we may include affiliate links to component and audio suppliers (for example Amazon, Thomann, AliExpress). Clicking one takes you to that retailer, who then applies their own privacy policy and cookies. We earn a commission at no extra cost to you and receive no personal data about your purchase.
• Distribution platforms: the Chrome Web Store, addons.mozilla.org, and Google Play collect their own installation and usage statistics under Google's and Mozilla's privacy policies. We only see aggregate, anonymous install and crash figures.
• Hosting & CDN: our host processes standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) to deliver and secure the site.
